Does not work with older iPhones anymore

I used to love using this app. It came in so handy when I was cooking since half my recipes use metric measurements. Now that it has been updated, I can no longer use it on my 3GS. When I go to input figures the number pad takes up the whole screen and you cannot see the results. There is no way to get back to the selecting conversion type screen.
